Peace Park - Hiroshima, Japan (March 2003)

In March of 2003 I took a short trip to Southern Japan, visiting the islands of Honshu & Shikoku. The following pictures are a visual journal of that trip. Enjoy (~_^)
BACK FORWARD
We know what time the atomic bomb impacted because all the clocks of the people of Hiroshima stopped at 8:15am. A grave reminder of the power of a small device dropped from a Boeing B-29 bomber, the 'Enola Gay'. It remains as a historical witness that conveys the disaster of the first atomic bombing in history. The Japanese later would call this bomb, "Pikadon" which translates to, "Bright Shiny Loud Noise".
