Peace Park - Hiroshima, Japan (March 2003)

In March of 2003 I took a short trip to Southern Japan, visiting the islands of Honshu & Shikoku. The following pictures are a visual journal of that trip. Enjoy (~_^)

This is a very visual reminder of what the A-bomb did to this city, as the Japanese have left it as it was since that day, August 6, 1945 at 8:15am. This place is now called, ,the 'A-Bomb Dome'. At the time of the bombing it housed the branch office of the Chugoku Shikoku Public Works Office of the Internal Affairs Agency and the offices of the Hiroshima District Lumber and Japan Lumber Control Corporation.
