Himeji Castle - Himeji, Japan (March 2003)

In March of 2003 I took a short trip to Southern Japan, visiting the islands of Honshu & Shikoku. The following pictures are a visual journal of that trip. Enjoy (~_^)
BACK FORWARD
This is a rare snapshot under the stairs inside the main hall of the Castle. It has a sign out front that read, 'Akazu no Tobira' which means 'A door that is not to be opened'. But because of the time of the month we visited they had it opened, and this is what was seen by a dim light inside. I've brighten the picture so you can make out what is inside. It was really dark in there and looked creepy up front in real life.
